So. I'm getting really sick really fast of bickering in raids and trying to be heard, I'm just gonna type it all out here.

There are multiple different things that we can try, none of which SHOULDN'T work, but several which aren't.

The idea of marking three adds with an addon, assigning a mark to a hunter, and just having us grab them makes sense, in theory. No reason it shouldn't work at first. However by the 3rd, possibly 4th, beacons, I worry how I'm going to be able to pick out my mark to click in that clusterfuck. We could use a macro to target until we find out mob, which is much more ideal than clicking, but I'm afraid its going to take more than the time we really have to get them all out. I'm thinking of macroing disengage into my macro so i can stand close, spam the target macro, and get out and get distracting off all at once, but I'm still not sure this is going to combat bad RNG of it refusing to target out mob.

One thing we could do is completely forgo that, and go back to staggering it better. Right now we, in theory, have two hunters going at once. This SHOULD work, there's no logical reason that being on opposite sides of the room we wouldn't auto target different mobs, but the fact is, SOMETHING isn't working. We could try going back to staggering it more carefully, marking ours as we distract it, having me, then Money, then Korxin go, because Korxin seems to be more consistent. As long as we don't panic, and we make sure our macros are correctly marking, I think this would be the strategy least likely to cause problems.

The last problem I see is, multiple times in the past few nights of attempts I've targetted a non-marked mob, distracted it, had it go on CD, and had it just look at me, then totally drop target. It doesn't go to another hunter, and distracting shot wouldn't override another anyways, just get an immune message, so I'm not sure what's happening here. Are tanks taunting mobs to get them on them? Pretty sure it takes more than one taunt to make something taunt immune, but otherwise I have no idea why it's doing it. The mob wasn't targeting a hunter when I did it.

Watch this. There's a hunter doing the distracting shot etc and them explaining every minor detail of the fight through out it. You can see a hunter do the shot and run away in a part of the explanation so that might help. I'll look for more videos but yeah.

I definitely watched that before I posted it, I liked it, but it doesn't fix the problems were having, or I think. What we had with Korx in the middle at the end worked a little better, for some reason our macros fucked up, but we really didn't get a chance to keep going and see if it'd actually work better. I did get it to come out just fine the first time, the second time I got it to look at me and that's all, I haven't been able to figure out why.
